A man from Rochdale has died after suffering a stab wound to the neck. He was treated in hospital but sadly died yesterday (Tuesday 28 May 2013).
At about 12.30pm on Monday 27 May 2013, police attended an apartment complex on Blackfriars Road, Salford following reports of a concern for welfare.
Officers found a 21-year-old man with a deep wound to his neck. Two people, a man and a woman, were arrested on suspicion of wounding with intent. They have been bailed.
The investigation into the circumstances surrounding the man's death is ongoing.
Detective Inspector Kevin Johnston said: "Our thoughts are with this young man's family and we have been offering support to them.
"We continue to work hard to establish what happened and I would urge the public not to come to their own conclusions."
