Alice Ingham RC Primary School
Though we are fast approaching the end of term we are still busy reading, writing, drawing, developing our Maths skills, designing, creating, rehearsing, performing, competing etc etc. The school is buzzing with activity as we finish off our topics and get ready for the big end of year events.
Reception class have been ‘under the sea’ this week, reading stories and making fish pictures. They have also been remembering their recent visit to St Patrick’s church and recording the things they saw there.
Year 1 have been role playing their favourite stories from the Bible and practising their songs for the Concert next week.
Year 2 have been practising their drumming for the concert…you do not want to miss that!
Year 3 have been learning about Spanish Festivals and developing their Tag Rugby skills.
Year 4 have been rehearsing their Play for next week’s concert.
Year 5 and Year 6 really enjpyed a play at Falinge High School, called Tales from the Lonely Lighthouse. Both classes have been learning about other faiths, Islam and Hinduism.
Year 6 pupils are writing their memories of their time at Alice Ingham School. They only have a few Primary school days left, a good time to reflect.
Congratulations to all our Year 3 children who have received their First Holy Communion over these past few weeks. We are all very proud of them.
Thank you to all the parents who supported the ZUMBA class for parents on Tuesday. It was great fun and we look forward to many more joining in the new term.
Everyone enjoyed the NED (Never give up, Encourage others, Do your best) on Wednesday. It supported all the great values we promote here at Alice Ingham School.
It was great to see the parents who ‘dropped in’ to see their child’s teacher on Thursday to chat about the reports and hear the good news about progress and achievement this year.
Dates for next week:
Monday 16 July Concert 1.30pm
Tuesday 17 July Mrs Sivills Retirement Mass
Wednesday 18 July LEAVERS MASS
Everyone is welcome to attend all of these events, we look forward to seeing you
School Closes Wednesday 2.00pm
We wish all of our families a very restful and safe holiday and thank you all for your continued support for all that we do at Alice Ingham school to provide good learning opportunities for your children.
