Swimathon raises over £1K for charity

Date published: 14 July 2011

A charity swimathon held in partnership between Oulder Hill Community School and Language College, Redwood School and Oulder Hill Leisure Complex has raised £1,725 for the NSPCC and money is still coming in.

The organisations joined forces to raise funds for the children’s charity from 1 April to 9 July.

Participants included staff, leisure club members, teachers and pupils. Each swimmer chose a challenge to suit their abilities.

Because the event was such a success the leisure centre now hope to hold a swimathon every year.

Donations are still being accepted. To donate visit: http://www.justgiving.com/OulderHillLeisureComplexSwimathon
