Fatal collision on Bury Road

A man in his seventies has died following a road accident on Bury Road this morning (Sunday 29 May).
The incident, involving a Ford KA and a Volkswagen Polo, happened shortly before 8.00am outside the Texaco petrol station opposite the Cemetery.
A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Police said it appeared as though the driver of the Ford KA had fallen ill at the wheel. He later died.
The driver of the VW Polo wasn’t injured.
