Falinge Park High School Prom 2010

Date published: 01 July 2010

Glamour was certainly the theme for this year’s Falinge Park High School Prom.

The young men and women could have been mistaken for film stars as they arrived at the Rhyddings suite at the Royal Toby Hotel in Castleton this evening (Thursday 1 July 2010).

The pupils turned up to their end of school prom in an array of vehicles, including a Ferrari!

The girls wore stunning dresses matched with beautiful hair and make-up and very high shoes.

The boys were suited and booted ready to dance the night away.

It seemed the class of 2010 would miss the school tremendously but were all ready for a summer of rest before moving on to bigger and better things.

Head of year 11, Julie Clarke said: “This year group is absolutely fabulous. They have been absolutely great and I am sorry that they are leaving but I wish them all the luck in the world.”

The next step for pupil Peter Tolan is to study for his A-levels at the new Rochdale Sixth Form College.

“I am going to study Maths, Chemistry, Physics and Biology. I think my GCSEs went okay so I should have the right marks.

“I have had a great time at school and I will miss my friends, I am going to try and stay in touch with everyone,” said Peter.

Elizabeth Allatt isn’t sad to be leaving school but is looking forward to starting a childcare course at Hopwood Hall College in September.

“I have made some of the best friends at school and will miss them all,” she said.
