Indeterminate sentence for glass attack

Jermaine Carl Bullen, 26, of Albion Road, Freehold pleaded guilty to GBH with intent at Bolton crown Court and received an indeterminate sentence for public protection. He will serve at least 3 years in prison for his attack on Kieran Heakin, 57, his former headmaster.
Mr Heakin was glassed by Bullen in a restaurant on Milkstone Road in February.
The teacher suffered serious facial injuries in the unprovoked assault at the Kapana Indian Restaurant and needed reconstructive surgery.
Mr Heakin, who lives in Shawclough, is a primary school headteacher in Burnley. He was previously head at St John's Catholic Primary in Rochdale.
