A historic steam locomotive, Coronation Class pacific 46233 Duchess of Sutherland, is due to make a brief visit to Castleton Station on Saturday 26 March.
The special steam-hauled train from London Euston to Manchester Piccadilly will arrive at Castleton platform 2 at 13.37.
The whole train will then reverse into Bags Yard, pulled by a diesel locomotive which will use the triangle of the track to turn the train around.
This will allow the steam locomotive to haul the train to Manchester Victoria Station where the visiting passengers can board for the trip back to London.
