Alice McNally achieved two A* grades and two A grades
Students at Cardinal Langley Sixth Form have, once again, excelled at A-level and vocational courses with the vast majority now moving on to their first choice of university.
Headteacher Mr Bridson congratulated his students on their achievements in this unusual year.
He said: “Our students’ outcomes show that we continue to compete with the best and, whilst this has been a very difficult year for everyone, we are delighted that so many students have performed exceptionally well.
“Staff have worked tirelessly to prepare students for the recently reformed qualifications. The past six months have been extremely unsettling for students as well as teachers but the quality of work our students produce continues to amaze us and we are delighted with their efforts. Of course, this year’s results are particularly impressive considering the constraints placed upon us and our students thoroughly deserve their success.
“We are honoured to know each one of our students; their wonderful outcomes are a reflection of their dedication and perseverance. Many have exceeded their expectations and they are now looking forward to their next steps, either at university or starting apprenticeships.”
Alice McNally is one A-level success story this year, achieving two A* grades and two A grades. She said: “I am really pleased with my results and relieved due to the current situation.” Alice will be moving on to study mathematics at University College London.
Bailey Haynes achieved an A* as well as two A grades and is also off to study mathematics, but at The University of Bristol. Bailey was delighted with his results and is looking forward to university life in Bristol.
Annie O’Loughlin was very pleased with her results after achieving an A* and two A grades. She will be attending Sheffield University to study History and French.
Madeline Spencer, having achieved an A*, an A and a B, is delighted to be going to The University of Leeds. Madeline is a keen musician and singer but will be studying business management for her degree.
With final results of two A grades and a B, Ethan Bradshaw is going on to study at The University of Liverpool. He was extremely pleased with his results and has chosen business management for his degree subject.
Holly O’Leary was absolutely delighted with her two A grades and a B. Holly has secured a post with KPMG, a global leader in Financial Services.
