New Rochdale M&S store to open in time for Easter Bank Holiday

Date published: 11 March 2020

The new Marks and Spencer store in Rochdale will open its doors at 10am on Monday 6 April.

Located at the new Rochdale Riverside development, the brand new 38,000 sq. ft store will open the day after the existing M&S on Yorkshire Street closes on Sunday 5 April.

Over 30 local residents will be joining the existing 100-strong team, to offer clothing, food and home departments, and a 78-seat M&S Café – a first for the town.

To celebrate the opening, M&S Rochdale Riverside will be giving away exclusive Golden Tickets to the first 200 customers through the doors. The Golden Tickets will include offers for £5 and £25 ‘spend today’ vouchers, as well as one £200 Gift Card and two £100 Gift Cards. M&S’s very own Percy Pig will also be at the store to give families with children an extra special welcome at the start of the Easter holidays.

Store Manager, Stephanie Holden has worked at M&S for almost 10 years and said: “M&S has served customers in the local area for generations and my team and I are really excited about our new store in Rochdale. We’re thrilled to open just in time for the start of the Easter holidays, so our store will be filled to the brim with seasonal inspiration.

“Cutting the ribbon and welcoming customers in for the first time will be a special moment for the team and a real career highlight from my ten years with the business. I hope to see lots of familiar, and new, faces on 6 April – my colleagues and I will be on hand to deliver the exceptional M&S service the town has come to expect. We can’t wait to be part of Rochdale Riverside – it’s such a beautiful store and a great location for families.”

The store will be located at Unit 14, Riverside Walk, Rochdale, OL16 1HE and will be open Monday – Friday, 8am – 8pm, Saturday, 8am – 7pm and Sunday, 10.30am – 4.30pm. Parking is available, charges apply.
