Nutters amongst best of British featured in AA Restaurant Guide

Date published: 21 October 2019

Nutters, the eponymous restaurant of TV chef Andrew Nutter, has been featured in the AA’s Restaurant Guide 2020 – the only Rochdale eatery to make the guide of Britain’s best cuisine.

Now in its 27 edition, the food lovers’ guide contains over 2,000 restaurants currently awarded Rosettes for culinary excellence by the AA’s professional inspectors.

Originally called French Connection, Nutters Restaurant opened on the moors at the former New Inn when founder Andrew Nutter was just 21.

The venture was renamed three years later to tie in with his success on television.

The highly popular French cuisine restaurant relocated in 2004 to what used to be The Manor on the outskirts of Norden, where it has remained since, undergoing a refurbishment in 2017.

Simon Numphud, Managing Director at AA Media, said: “We are pleased to see the hospitality industry going from strength to strength, with over 140 new dining destinations being added to The Restaurant Guide 2020.

“The establishments in this year’s Guide demonstrate the high quality of culinary experiences across the country, offering delicious food and impeccable service.”

Mr Nutter has been contacted for comment.
