One Great Day family fun day - raising money for Great Ormond Street

Rochdale Exchange Shopping Centre is one of 200 shopping centres across the UK taking part in ‘One Great Day’ on Saturday 15 June.

One Great Day is a series of family and community charity events being held throughout the month of June to raise money for Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity, and other local children’s health charities. 

This year, Rochdale Exchange will be raising money for Great Ormond Street Hospital Charity and will be hosting its Small Business Market, with 11 local independent businesses, all of whom have donated money to take part, there’ll be plenty of exciting and unique products for shoppers to choose from.

Retailers such as Cherished Melts, Bubble n’ Bake, Avon, Just Sparkle, Pudding Paradise and Doodles, specialising in exclusive products such as candles, bath bombs, cosmetics, jewellery, hot foods and children’s clothing are just a few who will be at the centre. Not only will they be supporting a worthwhile charity, they will be raising awareness of the fantastic small business community that exists in Rochdale.

Lorenzo O’Reilly, centre manager of Rochdale Exchange, commented: “One Great Day is a fantastic event that allows our community to come together whilst helping children that really need support. Our Small Business Market is a really positive way to not only give something back to but also showcase some of the incredibly talented entrepreneurs we have in Rochdale.

“This will really bring the centre together in support of a wonderful charity. Also, a massive thanks goes to our market stall holders who are taking time out of their busy schedules to host their businesses in support of this occasion.”

One Great Day was established in 2014 and has so far raised over £500,000 for 113 different children’s charities along with Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity. One Great Day now covers over 70 million square feet of retail space across the United Kingdom, from Folkestone to Aberdeen and nearly everywhere in-between!
