Man taken to hospital with head injury after hit and run on Mellor Street

A man has been taken to hospital with a head injury after a hit and run collision on Mellor Street in Rochdale.

Mellor Street is currently closed between Bury Road and Aldi in both directions.

Police and ambulance were called to the scene at around 3pm to reports of a collision between a small white car and a pedestrian, believed to be in his late 30s.

The Rosso bus services 442 and 468 will be frequenting College Street due to the road closure.
