A team of students from Kingsway Park High School won a silver medal in Boccia at the Greater Manchester School Games earlier this month.
Representing the Rochdale borough, the students won four out of the six games they played to achieve a place in the semi-finals, beating Elms Bank, Bury, by 2-1 to make the final against Manchester Community Academy.
The students put in a great display, but Manchester won the match 2-0.
A ‘Respect’ badge was presented to the students from the organisers of the event, in recognition of showing brilliant sportsmanship and respect to each other and other teams during the games.
Mr Paraskeva, Teaching Assistant from Kingsway Park, said: "The students worked hard to get the medal and they should all be proud of their achievement."
