Rising stars from Fabdance Centre danced their way to the top of the leader board at the Yorkshire masters freestyle trophy day at the King's Hall in Keighley.

Seven-year-old Keira Kyle, a pupil at Meanwood Primary School, won her section in the freestyle fast dance under eight category, out of a massive 40 dancers. Keira also placed second in her slow dance category.

The under 14 freestyle fast dance was won by Millie Davies, 12, who attends Oulder Hill High School and Fab’s under 12 beginner freestyle team ‘the unknown’ also won first place in their category.

Fiona Briddon, principal teacher and owner of Fabdance Centre, said: “I have always been proud of my girls at the dance school in competitions, but they stole the show, putting Rooley Moor on the map.

“These dancers haven’t been competing for long and they were extremely nervous, but they absolutely smashed it.

Fiona’s daughters also came away with second place in both their rock ‘n’ roll and pairs section.
