Baroness Floella Benjamin talks about life from childhood to being appointed to the House of Lords

Baroness Floella Benjamin OBE gave a lecture at St Chads Church, Rochdale on Saturday 20 October.
Floella Benjamin was known to millions of children as the presenter of the BBCs children's programmes Play School and Play Away.
Floella was at St Chad's Church to present her book ‘Coming to England’ after emigrating with her parents from Trinidad from 1960.
Kenneth Hall said: “Floella talked about her life from childhood to present day and how she has inspired children over the years to be themselves and how to achieve their goals in life.
“Also, her life mission to make a better world for children.
"How she went to university and how she was appointed to the House of Lords.
“It was a great evening and enjoyed by the audience.”
