Work on small pool at Heywood Sports Village almost complete

Date published: 15 October 2018

Work on the small swimming pool at Heywood Sports Village is almost complete and is expected to be open soon.

A spokesperson for Link4Life said: “Following the recent closure of the swimming pools at Heywood Sports Village, it has become apparent that there is greater damage to the pool liner than originally anticipated.  We are working with contractors to resolve the issue as quickly as possible, however, the large pool remains closed at this time.

“Work on the small pool is almost completed and we aim to re-open the small pool very soon.

“For all Swim Academy pupils, a member of the Heywood Sports Village team will be in contact very soon to discuss your next steps.

“For customers wishing to continue their swimming activity, alternative Link4Life swimming pools are available at Middleton Arena and Rochdale Leisure Centre.

“We apologise for the inconvenience that this causes our customers, we are doing all that we can and thank you for your patience and co-operation during this time”.
