Arrests following murder investigation after body of man discovered

Three people have been arrested and a murder investigation launched after the body of man was discovered at a property on Palatine Street, Rochdale on Saturday night.

Shortly after 10.30pm on Saturday paramedics were called to the property on Palatine Street and alerted police.

Two men and a woman have been arrested on suspicion of murder.

Detective Superintendent Debbie Dooley, from GMP’s Rochdale borough, said: “We have a team of detectives doing everything they can to identify this man and uncover what happened to him.

“Three people are currently in custody and they will be questioned by officers as this investigation continues.

“I must stress that we are in the very early stages of enquiries and we are trying to gather as much information as possible about the circumstances surrounding this man’s tragic death.

“A crime scene will remain in place at the property and officers will continue to speak to residents to see if they heard or saw anything that could help us.

“If you do have any information, no matter how small you think it might be, please call us.”
