Hundreds of people lined the streets for the 50th Milnrow & Newhey Districts Community Carnival on Saturday.
The parade was the biggest for years with 37 floats from local groups, schools and businesses taking part to celebrate the golden anniversary and collect donations for Springhill Hospice.
The carnival had a 60s theme with a lot of flower power on display as well as scooters, pink ladies and even Austin Powers.
Milnrow Brass Band fronted the parade, which began in Newhey at 1.00pm, followed by deputy Mayor Billy Sheerin and various extravagant floats and cars.
The carnival moved into Milnrow Memorial Park for an afternoon of live music, paintballing, face painting and fairground rides.
