Man in hospital following suspected assault in Castleton

Police presence on Samuel Street, Castleton
A man is in hospital following a suspected assault on Ogden Street, Castleton on Saturday morning.
A police spokesman said police believe the man was assaulted, however, the injured man maintains the cut on his side was caused when he fell into a car. The man has refused to confirm to police exactly what happened.
He was taken to the Royal Oldham Hospital for treatment.
Police enquiries are ongoing.
