Collision at junction of Langley Lane and Heywood Old Road closes road and teenager taken to hospital with ‘serious injuries’

Road closures around Heywood Old Road / Langley Lane junction in Middleton
The junction of Langley Lane and Heywood Old Road has been closed after a collision outside the White Hart between a cyclist and a lorry at 11.41am on Monday (3 April).
A male teenager has been taken to Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital with ‘serious injuries’, a spokesperson for North West Ambulance confirmed.
Road closures are in place at:
Langley Lane junction with Knights crescent
Manchester Road junction with Hareshill Road
Heywood Old Road outside Bowlee Fields
Whittle Lane from the services
The road will be closed while the police deal with the incident.
Please use alternate routes when travelling from Heywood to Middleton and vice versa.
