Beech House School at the Rochdale Youth Festival of Performing Arts with Adjudicator Colin Meredith
The School was very successful in the Speech Category of the Rochdale Youth Festival of Performing Arts.
In the Individual Prepared Talk, Omer Afzal was awarded a Commended.
In the Individual Prepared Reading – Prose section, Humna Munir, Hanaya Ahmed and Harun Hayat were awarded a Commended.
Charlotte Higginson achieved a Highly Commended, with the winner of the section being Alfie Mayer.
In theJ unior Poetry Reading Commended awards were given to Ayaan Malik, Emaan Malek and Antonio Nangle. Anais Aston, Hana Hussain and Wendi Zhang achieved Highly Commended.
Honours were awarded to the runner up Sami Hasan and the winner of the section Phoebe Stephens.
In the Senior Poetry Section, Hanaya Ahmed was awarded a Commended.
Charlotte Higginson, Harun Hayat and Humna Munir achieved a Highly Commended, with the winner of the section one again being Alfie Mayer.
Parents are reminded that Parents Evening for Years 5, 6 and 9 takes place on Wednesday 23 March.
The Isle of Man meeting takes place on the same day at 7.00pm.
In the Upper Prep Zak Gorton Rigg received his Ruby Awards.
Phoebe Stephens and Wendi Zhang received their Emerald certificates.
In the Lower Prep Cristiano Bernales, Hakim Ali and Hafsa Ahmed received their Yellow Rainbow awards.
