Fire fighters worked throughout the night to tackle a large blaze which ripped through The Amici Lounge in Littleborough.

Police assisted fire crews on the scene shortly after 9.30pm at the Italian restaurant on Featherstall Road, and have now confirmed that they are treating the fire as suspicious.

A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service said: “Fire crews were on scene throughout the night to bring the flames under control.”

Three fire engines from Rochdale, Heywood and Chadderton attended the scene on Featherstall Road at 9.40pm, and remained there until early this morning (7 July).
