Parts of Castleton without water – United Utilities on site

Date published: 01 April 2016

Parts of Castleton are currently without water this morning (Friday 1 April) after a leak at the intersection of Fox Hill Road and Thornham New Road.

United Utilities engineers arrived in the area at 10.15am this morning, although it has not been confirmed how long it will take to fix.

United Utilities said: “In order to help get some water flowing through your taps again our inspector has moved water from a different area into yours whilst we are sorting out the leak. You may find that water doesn’t flow as much as the pressure will be lower.

“We’re sorry for the trouble this may be causing you and we will get your taps flowing normally again as quickly as we can.”
