A car is fully submerged 50 metres out from the shore in Hollingworth Lake.
It is understood the car entered the water at Lakebank down the ramp in the car park.
A police spokesman has confirmed the male occupant got out of the car safely.

A fire and rescue service spokesman confirmed they were called at 8.26pm (Monday 7 March) and a visual search has been carried out by boat and also via an underwater camera.
Attempts to recover the car were unsuccessful and recovery has now been passed to the police.
