Springy the Frog receives a cheque from Rochdale Football Club and The Skills Company
A cheque for £527.93 was presented to Springy the Frog by representatives from Rochdale Football Club and the Skills Company, at Dale’s League One fixture against Peterborough United at the Crown Oil Arena on Saturday.
The club and The Skills Company teamed up to organise a family fun day, held at the ground in June, to help raise funds for Springhill Hospice.
There were fairground rides, stalls, a FIFA competition face painting and a chance to meet some of the Dale players.
Rochdale Football Club has been working closely with the Skills Company during the summer, and the students have been involved in several activities, including helping organise the club’s family fun day, creating the player silhouettes for the magnificent Wonder Wall and taking part in voluntary work like litter picking and maintenance of the Crown Oil Arena.
