Harwood Park Primary School Sports Day

Over the past couple of weeks, Harwood Park Primary School in Heywood have held two really successful sports days.

Miss McGregor from Harwood Park Primary School said: “This has been done as part of our aim of getting out and working with the local community.

“We have been very lucky to have the help of 'The Friends of Hopwood Park' who very kindly gave us permission to use their lovely field to host our events on.

“They also opened up 'The Cabin' on Hopwood Park to serve refreshments and drinks to all the adults who came to support their children.

“The children had a wonderful time completing a carousel of activities including: space hopper races, penalty shoot-out, bean bag throwing, long jump, speed jump and even an inflatable obstacle course.

“The sun was shining, and all the children, parents and staff had an amazing time.

“Thank you to everyone who attended and 'The Friends of Hopwood Park' for their help in organising the events.”
