Middleton Rotary President Janice Powell and Rtn Norman Wellens with members of Boarshaw Boxing Club
Middleton Rotary President Janice Powell and Rotarian Norman Wellens visited Middleton Arena where young members of Boarshaw Boxing Club were putting on a show in an effort to attract new members to the club.
Janice presented the club with a cheque for £290, which enabled the boxing club to purchase six head guards.
She said: “We always like to support local groups and clubs in the Middleton area, and Boarshaw Boxing is a great example of how to get youngsters in and give them a good discipline to follow.
“We wish them every success.”
