Ambition for Ageing Rochdale celebrates the year

Date published: 12 December 2017

Ambition for Ageing Rochdale held a special celebration event at Richmond Hall on Thursday 7 December to thank everyone that has been involved over the last year.

Entertainment was provided by Littleborough Community Primary School, who showcased their brass band, playing a whole range of festive anthems to get everyone in the mood for Christmas. Little Gems Nursery also accompanied staff and volunteers in a rendition of some Christmas carols.

John Aitken, Ambition for Ageing co-ordinator, said: “The children from both were amazing, a real credit to their teachers – and really made the day quite special.

“We would also like to thank everyone who got involved on the day.

"A fantastic afternoon of fun was had by their over 50s who have played such an important part in developing projects and activities in Central Rochdale, Smallbridge, Firgrove and West Middleton."

Ambition for Ageing works closely with older people to plan and create opportunities that tackle social isolation and loneliness.
