Date published: 17 June 2017

Norden was completely transformed for the 40th anniversary of the carnival on Saturday (17 June); the largest in the event’s history.

The weather was perfect for the parade, with clear blue sky and the sun shining throughout the day.

Previous themes have included, Step Back in Time, TV, All Creatures Great and Small, Favourite Film, Favourite Book, Music through the Decades, Around the World in 80 Days, Popstars, A Night at the Oscars, Best of British, Fairytales, Top of the Pops, Circus, Myths.
