Technique is a NW England based seven-piece band with an outstanding repertoire of dynamic Soul and Motown classics.

Walkin' on Sunshine - Summer decades party, 7.00pm, The Ratcliffe Bars, Rochdale

Norden Carnival 40th Anniversary

From Caldershaw School at 1pm up Edenfield Road to the Bus Terminus, returns to Shawfield Lane to Norden School

Leading the way will be Carnival Queen, Eva Jackson and Carnival King, Alfie Radcliffe. They will be joined by hundreds of others from the local schools and businesses that are coming to join in the fun.

The Festival of Rochdale Voices, 1pm - 4pm, Rochdale Pioneers Museum & St Mary in the Baum Church

Share memories of Rochdale over a brew and cake, kids crafts and henna. Entertainment includes: Skylight Circus, Rock Choir, Oakenhoof Cloggers, local poets and dancers. This is a free event for the whole family.

Samaritans Summer Evening of Music, 7.30pm, St Aidan's Church Hall, Sudden

Rochdale, Oldham and District Samaritans, together with the Rochdale Retirement Choir, is hosting a musical evening: songs from the shows, traditional and humorous songs, spirituals, and lots to make you laugh.

An evening with Elvis, Dave Vincents tribute to the Great Man and a 60's Rock & Roll Show.

Charity Music Festival, 7pm for 7.30pm, Rochdale Town Hall

The funds that we raise on the evening will be for the benefit of Springhill Hospice, Rochdale Moorland Children's Home, Dementia UK. ELMC (East Lancashire Masonic Charity).
There will be live music from John Alexander the Singing Jeweller accompanied by dancing by children from Fiona's Fab Dance Studio, Rochdale. We will end the evening with multi award-winning vocalist, Kevin Anthony.

We return to the Crown Oil Arena to face the Bradford Bulls after a period of 6 weeks on the road, which included our debut and superb victory over Oldham in the Summer Bash.

Milnrow Band in concert, 7.30pm, Boarshurst Band Club, Saddleworth

Milnrow Band have been crowned champions of the All England Masters International Brass Band Champion, The Championship Trophy, The Howard Memorial Trophy and the Stanley Boddington Memoriam Trophy.
