Littleborough Community Primary School Football team
Our girls’ Football team beat 11 other teams at a recent football rally last week to become local champions.
At the recent Rochdale Music Festival our bands won in all three categories, our Full band of 35 children aged 7-11, our Training band and our Ensemble Band, for more experienced players.
We won the Musical theatre section with a superb rendition of two songs from Oliver!
The BBC has heard about this and wants to make a programme about our Band for CBEEBIES.
They will be filming in April and the programme will go out at Christmas.
Some of the children will be featured and then the whole band will play Christmas songs in the Town Centre, which will be filmed. Spectators will be invited to ‘pretend’ it is Christmas.
Martine Sinker, Headteacher, Littleborough Community Primary School said: " Just one of these would be an exceptional achievement – but all together, they show what a really great job our school is doing."
