Metro Moneywise Credit Union Ltd an employee based credit union are looking to expand. Due to recent changes to the Credit Union Act 1979 we can now offer membership to any company or organisation in the Greater Manchester Area who wish to have the facility of a staff credit union.

Membership of Metro Moneywise Credit Union offers a unique and free employee benefit for all organisations and companies in the Borough of Rochdale.

Offering payroll deduction facilities for your employees gives them the opportunity to save directly from their salary. The administrative work is kept to a minimum.

Employees elect the amount they want to save; the HR or Payroll department deduct the nominated amount and send it to the credit union where it is allocated to the employee’s savings account.

Metro Moneywise Credit Union are based in Rochdale and have recently become a member of Manchester Chamber of Commerce.

We were established in 1989 for employees of Rochdale Council, we now have numerous employer partners, notably the NHS Pennine Care Acute, NHS Pennine Care Foundation, Greater Manchester Probation Services and many more.

As with all credit unions we are a not-for profit financial co-operative, controlled and owned by our members with no outside shareholders to pay, this has enabled us to always pay an annual dividend, last year’s dividend was 2.25% on instant access savings. We are authorised by the Prudential Regulation Authority and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority and the Prudential Regulation Authority.
