Beech House School – Senior and Upper Prep Open Day

Date published: 01 March 2014

Beech House School on Manchester Road will be holding an open day event to showcase their Senior and Upper Preparatory School.

The event will take place on Saturday 8 March between 10am and 12pm at the Senior and Upper Prep school – 184 Manchester Road, Rochdale, OL11 4JQ. The senior and Upper Prep school is for children aged 8-16 years old.

During the two hour event, visitors will be able to look around the school and speak to staff, pupils and school headmaster Kevin Sartain. Visitors will also be able to see the achievements that the pupils and the school produce year after year with small class sizes and support given by well qualified and caring staff.

Headmaster Kevin Sartain said: “The quality of pupils’ personal development is outstanding. It is a significant strength of the school, and reflects the school’s aim to provide a family school where all members of the community are respected.”

Beech House School is a co-educational day school for pupils aged from two to sixteen. The school aims to blend the best of traditional education with the skills and resources of modern times, to ensure that pupils’ talents are exercised to the full.

Emphasis is placed on developing a ‘school family’ which values all its members, and on encouraging pupils to develop their confidence and to achieve academically and in a wide range of activities.

Beech House School is a fee paying school which was founded in 1922, is currently listed in the Top 50 schools in the country and is also recognised as a top performing school for GCSEs.

Once again Beech House was Rochdale's top school in terms of their GCSE results last year and the school was a runner up in the Whitbread Memorial Trophy 2013 for the best GCSE Results in an ISA school in the country. In 2012 the school was recognised in the Parliamentary Yearbook as one of the country’s centres of excellence.
