Bamford Contract Services Ltd, one of Rochdale’s oldest independently owned recruitment businesses, has decided that it’s time to push the business forward despite the uncertainty in the economy and rising unemployment and get behind some of the local initiatives taking place, such as the Rochdale Business Awards and Rochdale Ambassador Team.

To facilitate the growth expectations of the company, Bamford's founder and MD Steve Berry, who has been at the helm for the last 23 years, has appointed a new Operations Director to the senior management team, engaging experienced recruiter and director Daniel Calvert. With 14-years’ experience in the recruitment industry working for small independents and a large national firm, Daniel brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the business.

Daniel, who was born in Rochdale, says about his new appointment: “Bamford’s has a fantastic reputation in the area and it’s time we started to capitalise on this and bang the ‘Rochdale drum’ a great deal more along with the other businesses in the area. There is a lot of investment in the local infrastructure at present which should contribute greatly to the local economy.

"I want Bamford’s to play an integral part in helping local people gain the upcoming employment opportunities in Rochdale and also help companies find the right local staff for their businesses. Rochdale is an exciting place to be and we look forward to contributing towards the success of the town, its people and its businessesas a whole.”

Established in 1989, Bamford Contract Services specialises in temporary a nd permanent staffing solutions to the construction, industrial, engineering and commercial sectors. They have experienced 40% growth this year, have been successful in being selected as one of the Rochdale Ambassadors and are an associate sponsor of The Rochdale Business Awards.
