Date published: 15 July 2023

Independent coffee house Bean celebrated three years of business on 7 July.

The popular coffee house opened in its own unit on Riverside Walk in July 2020 during a staggered opening of Rochdale’s flagship retail and leisure centre due to the coronavirus lockdowns.

Store manager Chloe Grindrod said: “We’re happy to have celebrated three years being down at Rochdale Riverside. We are grateful for all our customers and the community around the shop that have supported us as an independent business over the past few years.”

Paul Ambrose, Rochdale BID manager, said: “Bean is a shining example of offering great coffee with a great service.

“This independent coffee shop offers a relaxing environment for a mid-shopping break or an informal work meeting and it’s clear that the team take great pride in their work.

“The feedback the BID receives from their customers is always excellent and going forward we know the team will continue to serve amazing coffees.”

Bean

Bean is a speciality coffee roaster with additional venues across Manchester and Liverpool.
