Rochdale Canal walk 2: Rochdale to Todmorden
Meet at Rochdale Train Station, OL11 1DR, at 10 am. Return to Rochdale is by train or bus

Details:

Walk distance = 10 miles.

Start point is Rochdale Train Station, OL11 1DR, at 10 am. Return to Rochdale is by train or bus.

This is this second of three walks during which we will complete the length of the Rochdale Canal from Castlefield in Manchester to Sowerby Bridge.  This second walk is Rochdale to Todmorden and is approximately 10 miles. This is a rare opportunity to walk the full length of the Rochdale Canal towpath from Castlefield Basin to Sowerby Bridge in three parts - a total canal distance of 32 miles.  Those who complete the full distance will receive a 'Certificate of Completion' from Nigel.

Please note, that due to the popularity of these walks, car sharing whenever possible would reduce parking congestion.

Advise: Walking Boots, Waterproofs if needed, adequate clothing, snack and drink.

Generally dogs are not permitted, with exception of Registered Assistance Dogs, but anyone wishing to bring a dog should contact the Walk Leader in advance to obtain His/Her consent or otherwise.

They welcome new and potential members to join their walks.
