Details:
Join M6 Theatre Company as they present Nest, an original show for family audiences in Rochdale this September. As part of a prestigious national tour, special community performances from the award-winning theatre company will take place at M6 Studio Theatre, Albert Royds Street on Saturday 23 September.
Nest uses shadow puppetry, original songs and clowning to follow Birtle and Piper, two birds and their eggs, in the only tree left in the city. A high energy show with giant sized props and steampunk costume, this two-hander gives a bird’s eye view of humans who leave their clutter in the urban landscape below. A bottle cap makes a cracking mirror, a five-pound note makes a tip top tablecloth and dice make a delightful stool... but what will happen when the dynamic duo take a shine to collecting and they fill their nest with too many things?
Performances will take place at 11am and 1.30pm on Saturday 23 September and are suitable for everyone aged 3 and over.
Audiences are invited to ‘pay what you feel’ on the day but tickets need to be booked in advance from M6 Theatre.
Tickets are available by calling 01706 355898 or emailing admin@m6theatre.co.uk.
