Whitworth Town Council along with The Ashcroft are planning a huge celebration of King Charles III’s Coronation with a fun filled family event on Sunday 7th May 2023.
The event will begin at 12 noon in The Ashcroft carpark. The live music line-up will include Pub Lunch, The Jackson Kay Band, Harriet Williams and Lareena Mitchell.
From 12 until 4pm, the car park of The Ashcroft will be cordoned off. Lancashire Hospitality Co-Operation will be providing hot food in their Bombay Brew Kebab Truck together with Wood Fired Pizza and the Ashcroft bar will be open for liquid refreshments. There will be inflatables and a ride provided by PA Leisure, and Ice Dream Experience will be catering for all ice cream requirements! There will also be an Arts and Craft Fair indoors, featuring a variety of artisan stalls in the Ashcroft main hall and children’s activities and crafts at the Tourism and Leisure Committee stall.
U3A’s tap dancers have also kindly agreed to perform at the event and residents are encouraged to attend in fancy dress with a fancy dress parade taking place during the event. The Grid Virtual Reality will also be in attendance inside the Ashcroft.
