Details:
The Rochdale celebration in honour of Ireland's patron saint will start with Mass at St Patrick's Church on Elliot Street at 10am.
This will be followed at 11.30am with the raising of the Irish Tricolour at Number One Riverside (alongside the Ukrainian National Flag).
This ceremony will be performed by the Mayor of Rochdale Councillor Ali Ahmed who will be accompanied by his wife Mrs Syeda Begum. They will then return to the council offices where the traditional presentation will take place.
The celebrations will come to a close with the usual craic of Irish music, singing and dancing.
This year they will also acknowledge our continued support for the Ukrainian people.
