Rochdale Science Extravaganza is back with a bang! Created by the Rochdale Science Initiative C.I.C, in collaboration with Bangladesh Association and Community Project (BACP) and network of amazing partners. The Extravaganza event will take place on Sunday 19 March, 11am till 5pm.

A one day event, the Rochdale Science Extravaganza is set to be bigger and better than ever before with an incredible array of science, technology, engineering, arts and math (STEAM) activities for the whole family to enjoy. In conjunction with British Science Week 2023 – the focus is connecting STEAM with living well, climate change and a sustainable future.

The unmissable event will include inspirational speeches, sensational theatrical shows, art and science exhibition, and a multitude of hands-on science activities. The Extravaganza will bring together researchers, artists and professionals working in STEAM fields. It will be a great opportunity to inspire and encourage curious minds of all ages to explore the wonders of the universe, meet the STEAM practitioners whose research is changing the world and discover how science and creativity influences everything around us.

Furthermore, this amazing event will offer insights into how we can play our part in securing a sustainable future, and also make you aware of careers and choices you can make in the world of science, climate change, sustainability and community resilience – leading to what we hope will be a heartfelt call to change the mindset of individuals and organisations to combat the climate crisis.

Head down to Number One Riverside for what promises to be a joyful celebration of the role that STEAM plays in our lives – bringing communities together, creating new experiences, sharing the joy of discovery, bringing to light the key issues determining our future and celebrating the human spirit. As always the Rochdale Science Extravaganza event will be free to attend, though donation in kind will help them immensely to continue making STEAM accessible to all. To keep your energy levels topped up there will be a variety of food to purchase and prayer facilities will be available for those who wish to perform their prayers.
