Details:

World War II event at Bowlee Pavillon on Easter Monday for the historical RAF Bowlee Balloon Barrage Centre.

Lantern parade around the park 4pm - 5pm.

The aim is to commentate the Bombing of Bowlee Barrage centre and honour the brave airmen who lost their lives.

Bowlee Community Organisation is looking for community groups who would like to perform, local budding artists who want to perform, anyone who would like to read a poem or has something memorable to say about the Bowlee Balloon Barrage or the actual day of the bombing to come forward to share your stories.

They would also like any details of junior cadets in the area who would like to join in on the day. Any brass bands or pipers who would military parade. Any ex miltary members who would like to take part in the day and veterans to join in. Any stall holders who would be interested in having a stall to sell local pedicured products and gifts.

They need you to help make this event memorable for our community and to ensure the wealth of history of Bowee park is forever captured for future generations.
