DERT (Dancing England Rapper Tournament) is the annual competition of rapper sword dancing.
It’s where the best of the best gather to see who is the best at rapper sword dancing. Rapper sword dancing is a fast and furious dance from the coal mines of Country Durham and Northumberland. 5 people spin, whirl and somersault over bend lengths of spring steel to fast and furious live folk musicians.
This is the annual competition which moves from town to town each year.
Each venue will see all competing teams perform in front of judges between 11am - 5pm on Saturday 11 March.
Come along, watch the dancing, decide who you think should win the prizes.
