Calling all garden enthusiasts to a blooming lovely performance!

Gardening is good for you! All long-term gardeners know this, and many more discovered the simple pleasure of growing things during the recent lockdowns as window sills, backyards and gardens bloomed.

Now you can learn more about the wonders of plants and the health benefits of gardening while watching a unique garden being brought to life before your eyes, in a new play coming to Whitworth Library this week.

Garden designer Warren Oldershaw has teamed up with his performer brother Jake to create The Head Gardener, a 90-minute show digging deep into the joys of rooting around in the soil. The brothers present a mix of fascinating plant stories, personal tales of how gardening helps mental health and a song or two, while designing and creating a beautiful garden as you watch.

The brothers are performing on Friday 21 October at Whitworth Library.  The show starts at 7pm, and tickets cost £8/£6: Purchase tickets over the counter at the library or online: https://www.ticketsource.co.uk/spot-on-rural-touring/t-eaamzap

The Head Gardener is brought to you by Untied Artists and Spot On Rural Touring., which works with communities to bring professional performing arts to venues across Lancashire.
