Details:

To mark 150 years since the death of Sam Bamford, there has a been a day arranged in his memory with many different things going on.

There will be 'The Definitive Bamford Walk', which is a 60 minute walk by Brian Leicester. The first walk will start at 11.30am and the second walk will start at 2pm. For both of these walks, meet at St Leonard's Square (outside Ring O Bell's) Middleton M24 6DJ.

From 3.15pm - 10pm, the day will carry on at The Old Boar's head, 111 Long Street, Middleton M24 6UE. There will be an evening of entertainment where there will be readings, songs, recitations and music in memory of Sam Bamford.

The evening will feature: Robert Poole, Jennifer Reid, Michael Higgins, Neil Bell, String Theory, Martin Gittins and guests.

Donations to DEC Ukraine Appeal are welcome.
