Details:
Rochdale Pioneers Museum is hosting a special screening of the Mike Leigh directed film, Peterloo (2018) starring Maxine Peake, Rory Kinnear and Neil Bell.
The 'Peterloo Massacre' in Manchester in the summer of 1819 was seen by many as a turning point in social and political history and was influential for the Rochdale Pioneers who opened the world's first successful consumer co-operative.
We will be showing the film 200 years since the events, asking people in the audience to explore some of the themes of the film and discuss the way it has been presented.
Tickets are £5 each with part of the ticket price covering vegetarian hot food and a pint of local ale or soft drinks / hot drinks.
Over 12's (accompanied) only.
Parking on the ground floor of Rochdale Exchange, Hunter's Lane or on Reed Hill Car Park, St Mary's Gate.
