Heywood 1940's Day is back for another year, in fact this will be our 8th year!! Kicking off on Friday 22 June with a full day of events.
The Armed Forces Parade will be leaving The Heywood Pub at 1pm, with aeroplanes, armoured vehicles, tanks, jeeps, trucks, singers and musicians joining the fun.
There will be 1940's entertainment in front of St Luke's with Naafi from 12noon - 5pm.
The Tea Dance will be held in Trinity Methodist Church from 2pm - 4pm.
Singer and entertainer Marina Mae will be at the Queen Anne from 2pm onwards.
Backstep Boogie Dancers (11am - 4pm) & the Air Raid Shelter will be at Tilly's Tea Room inside Mike Goldrick Blinds, with raids at 12.30pm, 2pm and 3pm (weather permitting). Tombola, a gin bar and food and drink also available.
Encampment will be on Hill Street.
A vintage carousel, miniature trains and charity stalls will also be available for all to enjoy.
