Ceilidh Night - An evening of Scottish music and dance

The Mayor of Whitworth presents a Ceilidh night! Featuring:

  • Dance caller
  • Highland piper
  • 4-course dinner
  • Raffle
  • Bar

Doors will open at 7pm and guests will be piped in by Pipe Major Paton before a four-course roast dinner will be served from 8pm. The highlight of the evening will be your chance to take to the floor at as Scottish ceilidh caller Heather Birch talks you through the steps or these traditional highland dances.

The ceilidh is the perfect way to shake off the winter blues as we head into the spring – the dances are simple, fun and a great way to get some exercise and have a laugh with others. Come by yourself, with a partner or a few friends – it really doesn’t matter – a great evening in good company is guaranteed for all.  Kilts, sashes and sporrans are encouraged and there will be a prize for the best dressed!

Proceeds will go towards the Mayor of Whitworth's charity fund.
