Darnhill Festival 2017 takes place on Saturday 1st July in and around Argyle Parade. This is the 14th consecutive summer festival organised by Cartwheel Arts on behalf of Darnhill Festival Association.

The theme for this year’s festival is Space in honour of the launch of the first satellite, Sputnik in 1957.

The procession will set off at 12 noon from Argyle Parade and will be followed by a full programme of entertainment and activities for families and children to participate in; from bouncy Castle and face painting to a miniature railway, charity stalls or live music.

Skylight Circus Arts will be showing some circus skills, Link4Life will be running multi activity sessions on the kickpitch and there will be live music and this year we will have the Oakenhoof Folk Arts doing some clog dancing. Drumming with Handmade Samba and artists such as The Owl and Coconut and Ellie Paskell delivering mindful art sessions, Jodie Silverman making aliens, Adel Kay creating celestial brooches, Sacha Bradbury making planets, Kate Philfin making spiders from Mars and Professor Jiggit making Space Eggs amongst others.

There’ll be something for everyone.
