Who let the dads out
Who let the Dads Out is a monthly kids activity and play group for dads, grandads and male carers, running at the Lighthouse Project.
The play & activity sessions are open to anyone running between 10 am – 12 noon every 4 weeks, cost £2 per family (inc bacon butties).
They group is aimed at providing 2 hours of activity focussed play time for dads, grandads, or male carers, and their kids. If you are interested in attending just come along, no need to book in advance, all visitors and new families are welcome.
For too long Mums and Tots have had all the fun, but now there is something new about to burst forth that means Mums get some time off and Dads get to spend some focussed and creative time with their kids in a safe environment.
PS, don’t tell mum… no tea and biscuits for us, we do bacon & susage butties!! I thought that would grab your attention.
Who Let The dads Out is one of our projects aimed at supporting families, and in particular dad’s. We see the project as adding value and diversity to the current provision of parent and toddler groups and child contact centres within the town.
Many dads who spend a lot of the week at work struggle to have that quality time with their children and because this is typically mum’s domain they can also feel intimidated and inadequate about what to do and how to play with toddlers. Who Let The dads Out is aimed at trying to help dads to play and to build up close relationships with their children.
We want to foster this by providing good support to dads.
