Grand Balloon Race Success
The Friends of Carnegie Castleton staged a Grand Balloon race on Saturday 6th August to raise funds towards the setting up of a community facility in the Old Library. Work is well underway to rescue the building and return it to its previous magnificent condition. The public were allowed to have a look inside the library and it was clear that its current condition was upsetting to observe.
Some balloons have already been reported and the Friends will wait until the end of August to allow for more labels to be returned.
